..I feel like I look sleepy in this picture but Preston likes it so I'll keep it..
Our anniversary was wonderful. Preston was able to take the whole day off from work and we thoroughly enjoyed our day together. Our goal when we got married was to attend the temple every year on our anniversary. Well, in order to attend a session at the Raleigh temple, you have to call ahead and make an appointment. Preston took care of getting that arranged and we were set for the 9 am session. Yesterday morning rolled around and we slept through our alarm clock. We were devastated! Not to mention that our friends, Casey & Haley were going to go with us and we were supposed to pick them up so we could all drive together. Oh, we felt SO BAD! How embarrassing is it that we are so exhausted everyday that waking up for something at 9 in the morning feels so early?!? We were pretty disappointed that we couldn't fulfill our little goal but we are hoping that we can go to the Manti temple as soon as we get back and do a session there.
Anyways, so since we missed our temple session we decided to go out for breakfast instead. It was also Haley's birthday yesterday so it was double the celebration! We went to a place called Bob Evans and had a super yummy breakfast! Followed by a super yucky tummy ache for me. Blasted sausages. I don't know why they look so appetizing to me when I know what they will do to my insides later on. After that, Preston and I headed home where he worked on getting everything squared away with school and classes and such and I indulged in my latest romance novel. I cannot get enough of old fashioned love stories this summer, I LOVE THEM! Anyways, we spent a little time by the pool, cleaned up, did a little shopping at the mall and then ate dinner at the Cheesecake Factory! It was good but once again we left there with belly aches. Probably those darn Buffalo Blasts. Just the name should have scared us away from them. They are really good but they will make your stomach miserable, just beware. We ended our night by watching a few episodes of LOST. Is it just me or do I keep getting more "lost" the more I watch them....?
All in all it was the most perfect anniversary! Even though things didn't go just exactly as we hoped they might, we both still thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and I am just so incredibly grateful to have Preston as my husband and companion for all of eternity. I love you babe!
..Cute husband and the buffalo blasts..
..Cajun Jambalaya Pasta w/ Shrimp & Chicken..
It was good, but probably not gonna get it again.
I am a fan of their clam chowder. And it's even better to dip the brown bread in it. (I'm sure there is a different name for the "brown bread" but I don't know what it is. lol)
I think I could eat 10 loaves of this bread.
And you know we weren't feeling good to have left there without ordering Cheesecake! We'll have to go back just for the dessert. :)
