Girl's Day Out

This past weekend was spent with all the Bishoff girls up in Park City.

We literally shopped 'til we dropped. We spent most of the day at the outlets snatching up some killer deals, ate at a yummy pizza joint, walked the streets of downtown Park City, and finished up the day with hot tubbing and dipping carmel apples.

It was so much fun to get away for the day and be in such a charming place. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves.

Miss Sammie :)

Miss Makayla June :)

There is just something about those little mountain towns that make my heart happy. I just love everything about them - the old main streets, the architecture of the homes, the closeness of the mountains - i just love it! Every time I visit a place like that it just makes me want to live there. Who knows, maybe someday. :)

Thanks for the fun weekend ladies!

the nightly routine

Come about seven or eight o'clock every night you can expect to see the same thing going on over at our house.

Preston sits down to homework.

Millie sets to work on tormenting him.

It's pretty entertaining, to be honest. She does this for a good hour most nights! And the funny thing is, she leaves me completely alone. I think she may have a slight crush on my hubby....not sure how I feel about that ;)

Some shots of Millie and Preston dukin it out!

My loves.

Eventually she settles down and snuggles in while he finishes up his homework. It certainly provides for some good entertainment every night. These two just melt my heart. :)

is it really october?

I seriously can't believe this year is almost over. Why does time have to go by so fast??
It makes me sad.

Remember a couple of months ago when I was all gung-ho(spelling?) on blogging again?
Yeah....that lasted a good two weeks.
And then I fell off the wagon again. That seems to be a trend for me.

So, here I am....giving it another try. Just a few highlights of the past couple of months.

One good thing about the year coming to an end: FALL LEAVES!!! I love Utah and being able to experience all four seasons.

We happened to be in Moab for Homecoming weekend and got to see these little cuties give a member of they royalty flowers. It was so fun to see these guys do this and remember doing it myself years ago! I love hometown traditions. :)

While in Moab, we had the quickest photo shoot ever! I wanted a cute, updated picture of us and we were pretty limited on time so we literally pulled over, snapped a few pictures in front of this shed and called it good!

It literally took like 5 minutes.

Husband was very happy about that. He's not much of a photoshoot kind of guy. (Especially when I dress him up in long sleeves when its like 100 degrees outside:)

I also took the plunge and cut bangs. I haven't had them since the 5th grade. I like them, but they do require some extra effort on my part. We'll see how long I make it before I decide to start the growing out process.....:)

Preston took a quick trip down to Blanding and spent some time on the ranch with his Grandparents. It is such a pretty place down there, I'm sad I missed it.
I was at baby shower for my oldest sister who will be having her fourth baby any day now! We spent the day getting mani/pedis! Such a fun and relaxing day!

{I LOVE COWS}

Gorgeous, I tell you. (the picture below, not the cows:)

Preston's two favorite girls :)

One of our favorite places to eat in Moab.
{Albuquerque Turkey}
{Fish Tacos}
DELISH!

The Provo River had a TON of trout in it this year. The boys could literally stick their hands in the water and catch fish with their bare hands!
It was nuts!
I was obviously observing from the sidelines during this activity. :)

The great houdini!

We visited the State Fair not once, BUT TWICE, this year and had a blast!

We got to see Lonestar (a country band) in concert and I was in heaven! I'm pretty sure I'm the only one that thoroughly enjoyed it....haha

Our dear friends The Evans, Taryn & Steve :)

I had my first official backpacking experience. We hiked to Pittsburg lake (at 9 o'clock at night, by the way...that's a story for another day).

In the morning we were woken up by these beauties! A mama and her baby! SO COOL!

Our tent that is most certainly not meant for backpacking.

Good thing I have an extra strong hubby to pack it up the mountain for me :)

He's my favorite :)

Little Millie hiker!

Well that should be enough to bore you for one night. Way to go if you made it through that entire post! I will hopefully be back soon but I can't make any promises! :)
